Referrers
I currently have regular consulting sessions at Cabrini Malvern and Holmesglen Private Hospital and appointments are available both face-to-face or virtually.
I am available to discuss any specific queries or urgent cases prior to referral but generally suggest the following investigations to be performed prior to booking an appointment. Having the results of these tests will help with my assessment of each patient’s case and streamline their management plan.
Ovarian mass / Ovarian Cancer (suspected or proven)
Under 40 years old
- Bloods: FBC, UEC, CA125, HE4 & ROMA, CA19.9, Alpha Feto Protein, Beta HCG
- USS pelvis
- CT chest, abdomen & pelvis
- +/- Histopathology report
Over 40 years old
- Bloods: FBC, UEC, CA125, CA19.9, CEA
- Addition blood tests: CA15.3 if history of breast cancer
- USS pelvis
- CT chest, abdomen & pelvis
- +/- Histopathology report
Endometrial Cancer
- Histopathology report
- Bloods: FBC, UEC, CA125
- CT chest, abdomen & pelvis
Cervical Cancer
- Histopathology report
- Bloods: FBC, UEC
- CT chest, abdomen & pelvis
- +/- MRI cervix/pelvis
- +/- FDG PET/CT
Vulval Cancer
- Histopathology report
- Bloods: FBC, UEC
- CT chest, abdomen & pelvis
Cervical dysplasia (CIN/ACIS)
- Current cervical screening results (HPV, liquid-based cytology +/- histology)
- HPV vaccination history (accessible through Medicare online or Australian Immunisation Register)
- Previous cervical smear history
- Other relevant investigations: STI screening, vaginal/cervical swabs
